Stud Dogs

Our dogs are available at stud on a limited basis to approved bitches.  We encourage breeders to complete all available genetic testing and conduct pedigree research to determine if a match is desirable with a Tivin Standard before contacting us.  At a minimum, we require testing of the bitch to include hips (OFA or PennHIP), eyes (CERF), vWD (DNA, parentage, or blood test), and a negative brucella test.  Skin punch for SA, DNA test for JRD, DNA test for NE, an echocardiogram for ASD and a current thyroid panel are preferred.

Any of our stud dogs available for breeding will have had genetic testing completed, including PennHIP (+/- OFA), CERF, vWD DNA, thyroid, NE DNA, JRD DNA, an echocardiogram and SA skin punch performed.  We are happy to provide advice concerning pedigree research on a bitch you are interested in breeding into the Tivin line, and any health issues we feel should be avoided or monitored in a particular pedigree.  Gabriel has sired some very promising litters, pictures of which can be seen on his individual page.

Bitches are met at either TF Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island or Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT.  All bitches will have a vaginal cytology and progesterone test done by Dr. Scruggs before the first breeding.  Fresh-chilled semen breedings are also available.
