Date of birth: May 13, 1996 Callie was purchased in 1997 from Kaylen poodles as a foundation bitch for Tivin. She never finished her championship but she was bred by both Kaylen and Tivin and produced American and European champions. When she was finished with motherhood, Callie went on to live with Chris's sister in Connecticut. |

Genetic testing : PennHIP 70%, SA normal,
vWD normal, CERF normal. Health issues: Allergic dermatitis - she remains on a limited protein diet with no beef or beef products or bi-products allowed. Autoimmune thyroiditis - diagnosed in 2005. She is currently on thyroid supplementation and doing well. Mammary ductile carcinoma - she had a triple mastectomy in October, 2005. We have elected not to perform radiation therapy or chemotherapy. She is currently in good health and we will monitor her closely. Her chest x-rays and abdominal ultrasound were clear in 2005. Her recheck in September 2006, total body function, chest x-rays and abdominal ultrasound show her to continue to be cancer-free. Because of the health issues which were reproduced, particularly with the one sire, we decided to discontinue breeding her progeny. |
